Free Bill & Credit Card Calculators

Use these free calculators to understand electricity costs, bill increases, credit-card charge differences, refunds and payment problems. Results are estimates based entirely on the numbers and selections you enter.

Privacy: These calculators run in your browser. BillUnpacked does not need your card number, bank-account number, login credentials or other sensitive financial information to perform these calculations.

⚡ 1. Electricity Cost Calculator

Estimate the energy portion of an electricity bill from kWh usage and an electricity rate.

Enter the kWh used during the billing period.
Enter cents per kWh, not dollars.
Optional customer/service charges.
Optional taxes, riders or other charges.
Formula: kWh × (cents per kWh ÷ 100) + fixed charges + other charges. Your actual utility bill may use tiered rates, time-of-use pricing, demand charges, taxes, riders or other adjustments.

📈 2. Bill Increase Percentage Calculator

See exactly how many dollars and what percentage your bill increased or decreased.

Formula: ((new bill − previous bill) ÷ previous bill) × 100. A higher bill does not by itself reveal the cause; compare usage, rates, billing-period length and line-item charges.

💳 3. Credit Card Charge Difference Calculator

Compare the amount on your receipt with the amount appearing on your credit-card account.

A difference does not automatically mean a billing error. Check whether the card transaction is pending or posted and review tips, authorization holds and merchant adjustments where relevant.

↩ 4. Credit Card Refund Status Checker

Organize the facts when a merchant says it issued a refund but you cannot find the credit on your card.

This checker cannot track a real refund. Refund timing and display vary. A purchase authorization that disappears can also be different from a merchant issuing a refund after a completed purchase.

↪ 5. Credit Card Payment Reversal Calculator

Estimate how removing a payment credit could affect your card balance.

Enter new charges as positive numbers or additional credits as negative numbers.
This is a mathematical estimate only. Your actual balance can also include purchases, interest, fees, refunds, statement credits and other activity.

⏳ 6. Pending Credit Card Payment Checker

Compare the status on your card with the bank account used to fund the payment.

A visible “pending” label does not by itself establish whether a payment was received on time. Check the issuer’s payment instructions, confirmation and applicable cut-off time when the due date is close.

How to Use BillUnpacked Calculators

  • Double-check whether card transactions are pending or posted.
  • Do not enter full card numbers, bank-account numbers or passwords.
  • Use the linked guides when you need an explanation of the result.
